VIDEO: Dr. Donna Rockwell on Her Experience with the Dalai Lama

In her interview with PsychAlive Senior Editor Lisa Firestone, Dr. Donna Rockwell talks about her experience with the Dalai Lama.

I was part of that conference at Harvard Medical School and he is just, I mean, he personifies being natural and real in the moment.  Being alive and vital right now.  He’d be the first one to tell you that he also carries ego with him.  So it’s not about getting rid of that altogether.  It’s about how to be present with someone else.

And when you’re in the presence of the Dalai Lama and even some of the senior monks that I’ve met, you can just feel the love radiating out of them to you, because they’re not anywhere else.  That’s all it is, is that they’re right here, in front of you.  They’re with you.  They’re present.

And so, I think that was the most extraordinary thing about being in the presence of the Dalai Lama.  The other thing is that he’s hysterical.  I mean, he’s got the greatest sense of humor.
